The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work appears to be in overall good condition. The dark green/blue/black patina presents as healthy and even, and the current layer of protective wax appears healthy in 70% of the surface. Along the bottom edge of the sculpture and at the bill of a duck within the mother’s hand are areas of light green corrosion from the operation of this piece as a fountain. Structurally the piece is sound and the plumbing has been checked with compressed air and appears to be functioning.
