Absorbed

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is laid on board. Artist’s pinholes along the extreme upper edges. Surface cracking. Scattered small paint losses in the lower right corner, the largest approximately ¾ in. just under the signature. Under ultraviolet light, dots and areas of inpainting in the blue sky (also slightly visible in natural light), small areas of inpainting along the right edge and scattered in the foreground, very small spots of inpainting on the boy's cheek and to his clothing, and small areas of inpainting to the brown wall.
