This painting will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné of the work of John Henry Twachtman by Lisa N. Peters, Ph.D. and Ira Spanierman.

The present work is a view of Horseneck Falls in Greenwich, Connecticut, and was previously in the collection of the Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection, founded in Washington, D.C. by Robert and Mildred Bliss in 1940.
