Lot Essay

The present work will be included as an addendum work in the Project Norman database created by the Norman Rockwell Museum, Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

The present drawing is a study for a newspaper advertisement for Orange Nip, a once popular frozen juice product made from Florida oranges. Rockwell's ad was accompanied by an inspiring passage titled "Future Leader," which said that young entrepreneurs like the boy shown selling cups of Orange Nip were destined for bright futures.
