The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work is in beautiful condition. The canvas is unlined. The paint layer is clean and lightly varnished. There are three or four slightly darker thin vertical lines in the dark tree on the left side, which show slightly stronger under ultraviolet light. There may be a few tiny dots of retouching here, but the condition is excellent overall.
