Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This report was prepared by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting has probably never been restored. It is still on its original stretcher. The canvas is undamaged, but it has relaxed slightly in the corners and should be tightened. The paint layer is dusty. There is a small scratch in the center of the right side and a couple of other small scuffs. There is another scuff in the lower center. It is doubtful that there are any retouches at present. The work is clearly in lovely condition.
