The canvas has been lined. Under ultraviolet light, a discolored varnish. There appear to be pinpoints of inpainting scattered throughout, concentrated mostly in the upper left quadrant, in the left side of the boy's hat and in the left half of the scarf. Spots of inpainting along the extreme edges, which correspond to frame abrasion.
