The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work is painted onto canvasboard. The canvas is visibly becoming detached from the board. The canvas could be removed from the board and remounted or stretched onto a stretcher. The painting has probably never been cleaned. There are a couple of tiny losses around the rim of the lamp above the figure. The condition is otherwise excellent.
