The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Lined. The tacking edges are covered with metal supports. Slightly dirty. Under ultraviolet light, small spots of inpainting scattered in the figure’s face and neck and along the extreme edges, a line of inpainting along the sitter’s proper right cheek, and a dash of inpainting in the upper right background, and a discolored varnish which may be masking further restoration.
