The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work is clean. The heavy paint layer has developed cracking. This raised cracking can be eliminated if the wax lining is reversed. Under ultraviolet light, no retouches are visible within the foreground, figures or wagon. There are a few tiny retouches addressing small areas of abrasion in the sky in the upper center and upper left. The work can be hung as is.
