The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas is laid down on a board which is flat and stable. A few small paint losses in the background at center left and right and along the extreme edges, and a few specks of paint loss in the tail of the fish. Minor surface cracking concentrated at center. Slightly dirty. Under ultraviolet light, a small area of inpainting in the lower left corner and an uneven, discolored varnish.
