This report was prepared by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.:
This work is in very fresh and good condition. The canvas has an old glue lining. The impasto is still lively. The paint layer is clean and stable. The stretcher is original and the tacking edges are intact. There is a thin break in the canvas in the lower right, in the water, and the restoration here is accurate and well-applied. The retouches are clearly visible under ultraviolet light. The only other retouches are one spot in the center of the sky and one tiny dot at the top of the waterfall. The work can certainly be hung as is.
