This report was prepared by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.:
This work has been restored. The canvas is unlined and the stretcher is original. The tacking edges have been reinforced to allow for proper stretching. Under ultraviolet light, one can see that there are a few spots of retouching in the green background to the left of the head, a few spots in the left side of the dress and in the shoulder on the right, and a group of restorations in the arm in the lower right. There are a few small spots of retouching in the hair. There is one area in the top of the hair that reads very strongly under ultraviolet light, but this is not retouching. The work should be hung as is.
The frame is inscribed 'Carrig-Rohane Shop,Inc./RK.-NM. Jose/Boston' and '#1810'.
