Pirates' Chest belongs to a series of watercolors of pirate subjects that the artist created from his imagination following a trip to South Carolina.

Very good condition. Hinged to mat support with two pieces of tape along the reverse upper edge. The edges of the paper are uneven. Mat burn along each extreme edge. Remnants of adhesive from a prior presentation along the extreme left edge. The paper is slightly toned. Watermark visible in upper left corner. No apparent tear or repairs.
