The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Not examined out of frame. The canvas is relined. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has yellowed with age. Some areas of fine lines of craquelure. Under natural light, touch-ups to the right edge are visible. Further scattered touch-ups are visible, mostly consolidated to the dark background in the upper third of the work, and including two near the lower left corner.
