Hill for the Massachusetts Magazine, June 1789. 268 x 206mm. (uneven toning and foxing, three separations filled in with tissue on the verso). A magnificent view of New York's Federal Hall as it appeared in 1789, where Congress would meet until the selection of a new U.S. capital city. George Washington was inaugurated President on the building's balcony. * Gazette of the United States, Washington, D.C., 16 March 1791. Vol. 2, No. 92. Four pages, 256 x 405mm., printed in three columns. Contains notice of approval of site of new capitol and no. 26 of the Discourses on Davila by John Adams. (Tape remnants at the edges, large vertical tear on the reverse page). * [Washington, D.C.] Lithograph. View of Washington City. Baltimore: Sachse & Co., 1876. Size 520 x 700mm (sight). (Two strong creases stretching from top and left edges, a few spots of surface loss.) Framed, not examined out of frame. * The Presidents of the United States. New York: Phelps, Ensigns & Thayer, 1846. (toned and soiled throughout with some chipping, numerous creases and dampstaining to the margins, linen-backed.) Framed, not examined out of frame.
