On November 1, 1980, President Jimmy Carter visited the Live Stock Exchange in Forth Worth, Texas while on his reelection campaign tour. The office White House diary records that "The President was presented with a Stetson Hat by Miss Pioneer." Carter is pictured in this hat warmly greeting his supporters at the rally.
