The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
With a later base. The eagle with the expected surface wear, stress cracks and losses to the painted surface. With a crack to its proper right knee. With a metal rod protruding underneath its proper left foot. Its proper left knee with a nail, likely supporting repaired break. The sides of both feet with nails/metal rods. With a loss to front two talons of its proper left foot. With a Y-frame metal brace supporting its back. With interior restoration suggesting the tail feather has been reset. The eagle's lower beak made in two pieces. With grey blue paint around the eyes, most notably to the proper left eye, possibly later. With a small loss to the proper left front side of its head.
