These peanut scarves were designed by Frankie Welch and were used as gifts by Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter while he was Governor of Georgia. Rosalynn wore these scarves on numerous occasions, including while watching the results of the May 1976 primaries. She also wore a dress in the peanut pattern while in the Governor's Mansion in 1973.
