The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The Chinese mirror painting: overall very vibrant, with the typical tiny losses to the silvering scattered throughout, commensurate with age. Some small losses to the painting, most prominently to the ground at the lower right, and near the lady's lower hand, with some associated inpainting. Each side of the mirror with the typical scattered superficial scratches, commensurate with handling, and the typical dust or debris around the edges, mostly obscured by the frame. A small triangular section (approx. 1 cm. per side) repaired at the upper edge. The mirror plate not unframed for inspection.
The frame: with slight separation to the joints at the corners, but overall in good order, structurally sound and ready to wire and hang. With scattered chips, losses to carving and finish as to be expected with age. The reverse stabilized with 4 vertical planks, secured by nails. Overall good presentation.
