The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The ceramic surface with some intrinsic imperfections, in the making, including a fair amount of popped bubbles in the glaze and body. The surface further with craquelure, scratches, rubbing and small glaze flakes throughout, commensurate with age and handling, some of the glaze flakes in-painted with blue. The body previously broken and repaired, with a fair amount of overpainting to repairs encircling the shoulder and around most of the foot. The base drilled for electrification. The lamp mounts with some wear, including a large amount of loss to the gilt at the plate covering the vase rim; the hardware missing its finial.
