The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with some minor scratches including to the interior, with removed engraving to either side of the body, possibly also with removed engraving from the cover, but not thin, with an added strengthening plate to the underside of cover below finial, the finial possibly associated, generally cleaned up overall.
Fully marked on the body, the flange of cover with maker's mark, lion passant, and date letter, the finial with lion passant and duty mark.
