The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The frame overall with some age and construction cracks as expected. The reverse with evidence of old insect damage (now inactive) and remnants of an old newspaper. The carving with some cracks and areas of restoration, revealing gesso in areas. The gilding with some rubbing, revealing bole beneath in areas. The black-painted areas also with some rubbing and abrasions. Several glass appliques now lacking. Overall stable condition.
