The canvas is unlined. With surface soiling and frame abrasion as to be expected with age. Overall with craquelure. The canvas with a ¹⁄₂ in. abrasion at center right, another ¹⁄₄ in. long one at center, and one 1 in. long at upper left, each with associated pigment losses. With additional scattered small pigment losses including to the upper edge at center and at the right edge. Examined under ultraviolet light. A campaign of restoration is evident with touchups to the aforementioned abrasions. Touch ups to minimize the appearance of craquelure and to address frame abrasion. The canvas presents with a milky green varnish. Please note the frame is sold as is.
