The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The mirrors: with the typical tiny losses to the silvering scattered throughout, commensurate with age. One mirror with a small area of more significant loss to the silvering, within the C-scrolls of the frame at its upper-right corner. Each side of the mirror with the typical scattered superficial scratches, commensurate with handling, and the typical dust or debris around the edges, mostly obscured by the frame. The mirror plates not unframed for inspection.
The frames: With scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. The surfaces re-gilt. Some minor separation and associated narrow gaps in the gilding over some joints, but overall in stable condition. Each repaired across its C-scroll and plume finial, one of the repairs with a small amount of visible white glue at the repairs.
Good overall presentation, wired and ready to hang.
