The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The mirror plates either later or re-silvered. With the typical tiny losses to the silvering scattered throughout, commensurate with age, slightly more prominent on the mirror with the fisherman. Each also with the typical scattered superficial scratches, commensurate with handling. The mirror plates not unmounted for inspection.
The frames: the surfaces previously regilt and with scattered chips, losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Some minor separation and associated narrow gaps in the gilding over some joints or possibly well-executed repairs, but overall in stable condition. A few minor repairs to the tree at the lower-right of the mirror with a hunter, including a small amount of glue residue visible at the reverse (not visible from the front). A repair to the descending rockwork beneath the mirror with a fisherman, including a wire 'staple' securing a thin strip of stabilizing wood.
Good overall presentation, wired and ready to hang.
