The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
- One jar has multiple cracks to the body and to the base, some of which with associated small losses
- The other jar has restoration to the neck and part of the shoulder
- Both covers with chips and fritting to the mouth rim
- One cover has an area of restoration to the mouth rim, approximately 3 ¼ in. (8.3 cm.) wide
