The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In fine stable condition. A few of the tesserae fractured; some tesserae lost. Surface wear and abrasions to the tesserae throughout. Some incrustation. Mounted on a modern metal and concrete frame. The process of removing a mosaic from its original floor requires that each tessera be reset in modern mortar. Therefore it is impossible to know for sure if every stone is in its exact original position.
