HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA 2ND CENTURY B.C.
With a sheet flange ornamented with a band of tongues formed of filigree beaded wire, framed with braided ropes, centered by an oval carnelian gem held in place by a dog-tooth setting, engraved with Aphrodite, wearing a chiton and himation, leaning against a column, a staff angled diagonally behind her, holding a dove in her outstretched hand, on a short groundline
