The Rink was a Broadway musical, written by Kander and Ebb and starring Chita Rivera and Liza Minnelli, that opened on February 9th, 1984 at the Martin Beck Theater. The show ran for 209 performances and was nominated for 5 Tony Awards. John Kander and Fred Ebb were the prolific songwriting team that also created the music for Cabaret, Zorba, Chicago, Woman of the Year and the anthemic track New York, New York.
