Lot Essay

Friday, October 31, 1986
Halloween has really turned into a big holiday. It just used to be for kids but now it’s the whole city. All the drag queens came in and I didn’t recognize Kenny Scharf, I didn’t at all. I finally recognized Joey Arias. I figured him out. And Jean Michel came late with his face wrapped in tin foil and nobody knew who he was (laughs)— Paige was even talking to him because she didn’t know. Let’s see who else was there. Calvin came with Kelly and Bianca and Steve Rubell came and Doug Henley. And Jimmy Buffett’s wife. It was a lot of great people.
