拍品專文

A small figure bends forward, one arm reaching into open space as though sensing something beyond sight. The gesture suggests curiosity touched with fragile longing. The solitary child moves from fevered lids (Lot 1) through nocturnal gaze (Lot 2) to eyes now open wide. Expressive simplification has long animated Japanese imagery, already evident in the lively figures of Hokusai Manga by Katsushika Hokusai. The extended hand becomes a quiet emblem of searching, recalling the gentle loneliness shared by many youthful figures, including the wandering children of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (Lots 21 and 36) and Nobita, the struggling schoolboy at the center of Doraemon (Lots 31 and 37).
