Overall in sound condition and ready to place. With typical rubbing, oxidation and tarnish to the gilt and lacquered bronze. Some areas with verdigris and darker tarnish. The malachite with natural inclusions and minor inherent cracking, some small 'nibbles' and scattered surface scratches. The base possibly previously used on a scientific instrument, and the casters possibly original.
