Lot Essay

A vase of the same form but at a slightly smaller scale and applied with handles, similarly decorated with fish in lustre by Joe Juster at William de Morgan and Halsey Ricardo's Sands End Pottery studio, is currently on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum (accession no. C.417-1919). The museum's vase was bequeathed by Evelyn de Morgan upon her death in 1919.
