A large quantity of 'African Marigold' curtains, 19th/20th century

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The curtain panels in fair condition with a cream cotton lining; variously faded and slightly discolored, and with scattered minor abrasions and repairs; present well overall. Ten of the panels roughly 79 in. (200.7 cm.) long and 50 in. (127) wide along the bottom. Four with box-pleated top, the remainder gathered. The fragments & component parts variously sized, faded, stained and abraded.
