The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The blades and tines with some minor scuffs and wear to the gilding consistent with age, use, and storage, some fork tines not perfectly straight and even and with some wear to the ends of the tines, most tines rather sharp, one fork with some glue residue to the silver-gilt cap from previous repair, a couple throughout with some small minor losses to the edges of the silver-gilt caps, the mother-of-pearl with some natural variance in color throughout including some reddish tones, some minor wear and nibbling to the edges of the carved flutes, generally good condition.
