Lot Essay

Most of the pieces in this service are likely those mentioned in the sales registers of the Registre des livraisons à crédit on 18 January 1852 for the Prix courses Saint-Malo and in the Registre de pièces entrées au Magasin de Vente des pièces décorées on 30 December 1848 (below), now missing the butter tub and both of the cups and saucers and with replacement pieces from 7 years later.
