The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each slightly different in height; in overall good condition; minor surface wear and scratches as to be expected; light rubbing to the enameled and gilt decoration; some scattered minor chips to the extremities; each figure with a loss to one finger, both hands and wrists restored with associated touch-ups to her sleeves; the larger figure with her head restuck at the neck and overall with overpaint, with touch-ups to the undersides of the three leaves at the back of the base; the other figure with one side of the lotus leaf on which the bird sits unpainted.
