The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The quantity includes four parts, the longest a complete selvedge edged width of 29 in. The pigments are very worn, with later painting and enhancements in areas. There is considerable discoloration and soiling throughout. Considerable tears and holes scattered, some with patch repairs to the reverse of the silk. Most apparent wear to the edges.
