The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The first with fraying to the metallic threads and areas of wear to the silk embroidery. Small areas of discoloration and watermarks. Scattered staining. Wear and small tears to the silk along creases as to be expected, particularly along the sleeves. Slight separation to the seamlines. The interior silk lining with fading and soiling. Lacking several later added buttons. The neckline is very frayed.
The second with a few small tears to the silk, particularly to one sleeve. This same sleeve with fraying and abrasions to the silk along the crease line to supper edge. The other sleeve with less visible fraying and abrasion. The neck line with considerable fraying and tears. Some light soiling throughout, particularly more noticeable to the sleeve bands. Slight separation along the seam lines for interior lining.
