The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

Panels well matched. Scattered staining, soiling and discoloration. The edges frayed and uneven, possibly once part of a dress. Areas of heavy rubbing and fraying to the brocaded silk and metallic threads, revealing the ground beneath in areas. The silk ground with small scattered areas of splitting.
