The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.

The joined panels with large pieced areas, well matched. There are patch repairs to tears, further small tears, rubbing and wear -- portions of exposed raspberry taffeta backing in these areas. Considerable wear to the silver metallic threads throughout. Losses to the polychrome silks. Scattered areas of soiling and discoloration or water marks -- some bleeding to colors in areas. Minor fraying to silk. The edged braid trim with minor fraying and wear. The raspberry lining with minor soiling and some areas of discoloration.
