The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The canvas is supported on the reverse with a glue lining and is stable on its support. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish. There is minor surface soiling to the canvas. There is a fine scratch at the center, possibly inherent. Under natural light, two diagonal restorations, one at upper left and another at upper right are visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light, confirms the aforementioned restorations and a few additional touch-ups, including a circular area at center and a very minor one near the left edge at center.
