The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Hinged at the upper corners on the reverse to the mat backing with Japan paper. Light-stained. Few scattered pinpoints of foxing. Fine vertical line of staining to the extreme left upper edge. Minute tear to the upper center left edge and a 1¹⁄₂ inch vertical tear along the extreme lower left edge. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
