The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not lined. Varnished. Faint frame abrasion to the extreme edges. Light surface soiling. Scattered pinpoint surface accretions. Few fine lines of craquelure to the sitter's forehead and blouse. Examined under ultra-violet light. Few scattered strokes of inpainting, most notably to the sitter's face. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
