The painting is executed on canvas and supported on the reverse with a glue lining. The paint layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has slightly yellowed with age. There is minor surface soiling and scattered pinpoint losses, including to the impasto, although well-retained. Under natural light, minor touch-ups to the edges to address frame abrasion are visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light, confirms the aforementioned restorations. There is a very small section of touch-up to the upper edge at center and a pinpoint of restoration to the background at center. Please note that Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
