Mortlock is recorded as a purveyor of pottery and china throughout the 19th century and appear to have created their own line of studio works in the late 19th century.

Each plaque executed after the drawings of James Gwyn (circa 1700-1769) from his collection titled Desseins Originaux des Attitudes Continuée dans L’ École des Armes, dated 1763.
