The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The painting is executed on a single wood panel of horizontal grain and is secure on its support. The pigment layer is stable and under a clear varnish that has slightly yellowed with age. There are scattered areas of thinning and losses to the pigment, including to the lower right corner and the sky at center. There are inherent imperfections and holes to the panel at the edges. There are unobtrusive lines of craquelure following the grain of the wood. Inspection under ultraviolet light is obscured by a semi-opaque varnish.
