The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This table, which is of unusually small proportions, is in good restored condition and is ready to use. The surfaces of the top have a smooth restored finish. As catalogued, the present decoration is not original and probably dates to the late 18th or early 19th century, with traces of the earlier scheme visible and showing through in some places. Some further later refreshments and repairs to the present decoration. Minor chips, scratches and losses to the decoration, consistent with age and use. Some evidence of old, apparently inactive woodworm to the underframe and feet, and some associated minor losses to the same. Some later blocking, glue and screws to the underside of the top. Minor dents to the extremities. The candleslides have a dark stain and some black paint and have probably been replaced. The bottom boards of the drawers have been replaced. The handles have been replaced.
