Overall good condition with light surface scratches and minor wear commensurate with age and gentle use. The shade presents with pansy blossoms in a variety of colors - lapis lazuli blue, blood orange, rose pink, deep violet - with foliage in lime green, blue-green, and olive tones set against a vibrant background in a gradient of pumpkin orange to a pale cream. The glass presents with surface irregularities, minute inclusions, and scattered air bubbles inherent in the making. The glass with light surface scratches, minor wear, and dirt to recessed areas. The shade with approximately twenty cracks scattered throughout, stable. With a minor area of wear to the patina along the lead line at the widest point of the shade, only visible upon close inspection. The base presents with a chocolate brown patina with green overtones. The metal surfaces with light scratches, minor wear, abrasions, and scattered areas of light oxidation typical with aging of this material. The base has been converted for electricity with a modern three light cluster and modern sockets and Eagle paddle switches. The oil canister appears to be original with a polished surface appearing slightly more brown than the base. The heat cap is a modern reproduction. A well-proportioned lamp that displays beautifully in person.
